Robotic Palletizer

Designed for Efficient

Pallet Handling

Robotic palletizers, whether automatic or semi-automatic, are usually positioned between a pallet dispenser and a pallet conveyor line that carries incoming products. The products are picked up and placed on a pallet in an orderly manner by a hydraulic robotic arm which is equipped with suction cups or flat pincer grippers. A robotic palletizer, though dealing with one product at a time, is much quicker than manual work and also prevents exhaustion or injury risks.

A robotic palletizer can manage both heavy and delicate items and can be adjusted to suit different product types, including pails, drums, bags, cases, and bottles. In these applications, the machine is often named according to the product it handles—such as robotic pail palletizer, robotic drum palletizer, robotic bag palletizer, robotic case palletizer, or robotic bottle palletizer.

Additional models consist of articulated arm palletizers, selective compliant articulated robot arm (SCARA) palletizers and gantry-style palletizers.

There are apparent benefits of automatic and robotic palletizers over manual stacking that are, first, an increased stability in loading, second, greater precision, and third, increased rate of operation, and reduced injuries associated with workers. They highly minimise labour requirements and enhance safety and more loads can be transported simultaneously. The dollar amount to be invested is huge, but at times the long term gains will be many times what the cost is.

How It’s Used

What is the function of a pallet dispenser?

A pallet dispenser has the function of storing a stack of pallets which are then released one at a time thus allowing the operators or the forklift to pick up a single pallet without the need of separating it from the stack.

In what way does a pallet dispenser enhance safety?

The operator is no longer required to manually lift or otherwise separate heavy stacks of pallets, and this in turn has a great impact on the reduction of back strain and other injuries associated with the workplace thus safety has been greatly improved.

Is there any possibility of it being integrated with the existing machinery?

Indeed. A lot of dispensers can be connected to conveyors, palletizers, stretch wrappers, or automated packaging lines thereby allowing the connection of smooth and continuous pallet flow.

Does it help improve efficiency?

Of course. The supplying of pallets manually has been eliminated which means operators spend less time sorting or handling pallets making them available for packing, loading, or production tasks.

How many pallets can it hold at once?

Variety in capacity is by model, however, most of the dispensers can hold up to 10-40 pallets in a single stack.
