Hayssen spare parts are what keep a Hayssen Ultima bagger running for years, because some of its parts are designed to wear. While the bagger stands still, the weigher, the conveyors and the people on the line stand still with it, orders wait, and product that was already dosed may be wasted. The real risk is not the part but the lead time: how long between “it has failed” and “it is fitted”. A part that sits on your own shelf has a lead time of minutes.
Hayssen spare parts that wear first, by area
Sealing jaws
The jaws make the horizontal seals and take a mechanical and thermal load on every cycle. Wear shows up in the jaw faces and in the linkage that drives them. On the Ultima the jaw assembly includes the front Qualiseal jaw (10496B1380), the jaw carrier (03026B1914), the jaw mounting plate (03026B2074), the insert with spreader (03036B0838), the spring housing (03026A1842), the drive link (03026A1530) and the clevis pin (03026A2024).
Warning signs: leaking or wrinkled seals, uneven seal width, a new knocking sound or play in the jaw movement.
Knife and cutting
The knife separates each bag from the next inside the jaws. A dull or chipped knife does not always stop the machine; it starts to leave bags joined together or with ragged edges. The cutting parts on the Ultima are the knife (10137A0405), the knife holder (03026B1876), the knife link (03026A1531) and the knife retainer (03026A1877).
Warning signs: bags hanging together in chains, torn or frayed cut edges, film dust at the jaws.
Heating and temperature sensing
Seals depend on the right temperature. A heater that fails leaves the jaw cold; a temperature probe that reads wrongly makes the controller heat too much or too little. The parts are the 600 W 120 V heater (10327A0882, 17 inch) and the 100-ohm platinum RTD probe (10327A1068).
Warning signs: weak seals that peel open, burnt or shrunk seals, a temperature alarm, or a jaw that takes longer than usual to come up to temperature.
Film feed: pull belts and rollers
The pull belts draw film down the forming tube for every bag. As they wear, they lose grip, and bag length and print registration start to drift. The feed parts are the pull belt (10197A0616), the low feed roll (03046B0387) and the upper feed roller (03046B0453).
Warning signs: bag length varying, print marks moving off position, film slipping, or a shiny, glazed belt surface.
Pneumatic cylinders

Controls

A sensible on-site stock plan
You do not need a copy of every part. Sort them into three groups:

Adjust the groups to how hard your machine works. A bagger running two or three shifts, or sealing thick laminates, will go through wear parts faster than one running a single shift on thin film. Genuine or generic parts?
For parts that only need to fit, a generic replacement may work. For parts that decide seal quality and timing, such as jaws, heaters, temperature probes and pull belts, dimensions and materials matter. A part that is slightly off can cause the very problems you were trying to fix: weak seals, wandering bag length or early wear on the parts around it.
